4 Advantage or Disadvantage
20 Download a copy of GCSE-ICT-TB2-L1-OnlineFoodShopping Decide whether each of the points is an advantage or disadvantage of shopping online for food. Complete the table at the bottom Work in pairs to draw up a similar table for another type of product, e.g. clothes, electrical goods, music, books. Highlight any generic advantages and disadvantages of shopping online.

7 What makes for a good online ‘customer experience’?
10 There are certain ‘factors’ that make for a good customer experience. In pairs, identify a list of factors that would affect your online shopping experience. How does your list compare to my list? attractive site, easy to navigate, good choice, detailed product information, and so on.

8 Plenary 5 At the end of this lesson students will be able to:
describe advantages and disadvantages of shopping online describe features of online shopping sites describe factors that contribute to a good ‘customer experience’ online Jot down: two advantages of shopping online, two features that enhance the online shopping experience, two groups of people who benefit from being able to shop online two ways in which shopping online impacts on people’s lifestyles.

9 Homework 5 You are to visit two different online shops and complete the Online Stores.doc document. It should take between 30 and 60 minutes to complete. Upload it to SMHW when you are finished.
