2. Starter Following last lesson when we started talking about E commerce, I want you to individually come up with a list of advantages of E- commerce to customers. Try to think of examples to go with your points. Feedback ideas

8. Split into 2 groups Scenario: You are members of a board in a fast developing computer company. You currently have a website but all your sales are done in person from your two retail outlets. One is in Newport and one is in Swansea. Group A is for creating an e-commerce site. Group B is against the idea. In you groups, come up with what you think would be a good argument for your case. Decide on advantages or disadvantages to support your view.

9. Time to decide A meeting is called to decide if the company will develop an E-commerce website or not. Each group needs to argue their case. Try to come to a decision.

12. On-line database E-commerce is a good example of when an online database is used. Data held can include: – Products, customer and order details, (EDI) What is EDI? Electronic data interchange Automatic exchange of data from company to company. Used by large retailers to order goods automatically from suppliers. It orders, checks and makes payment all without paperwork

14. Plenary Choose if you are going to use e-commerce to do your food shopping. Highlight advantages and disadvantages to support your view. Can you think of any additional advantages or disadvantages? There needs to be an even choice of for and against.
