Do you think that the world would ever allow something like the Holocaust to happen again?

3 Genocide: UN Definition
Targeted groups: national, ethnic, racial or religious group Prohibited actions: Killing group members causing serious bodily or mental harm to members of the group Deliberately inflicting on the group conditions calculated to bring about its physical destruction Imposing measures intended to prevent births Forcibly transferring children of one group to another

Holocaust First time term “genocide” was used Approximately 6 million Jewish people were systematically murdered, up to 5 million from other groups

8 Darfur Early in 2003, armed conflict started in Darfur, a small region in Sudan

9 Darfur Non-Arab rebel group, the Sudanese Liberation Army, attacked the Sudanese government Wanted “end to region’s chronic economic and political marginalization”
