According to The Official Website of the British Monarchy… Divorced on August 28, 1996 Began relationship with Dodi Al- Fayed in 1997 Died in a car crash at 36 in August of 1997 Princess Diana Memorial Fund Raised over $125 million for 350 different charities

4 Land Mines According to CNN… 1 in every 333 people lost a limb in Angola due to land mines 100 new prosthetics were fitted every month Began working with the Halo Trust Company

5 Halo Trust Co. Visiting fields and hospitals speaking to survivors
Spent 15 hours a day for weeks listening to people’s stories Very personal No paparazzi Connected with them, particularly the children

7 Legacy Ottawa Mine Ban Treaty
According to Stuart Casey- Maslen… Ottawa Mine Ban Treaty Signed by 122 countries excluding the United States, Russia, and China Ban the use, stockpile, production, and transfer of anti-personnel land mines 14 million stockpiled mines were destroyed 171,000 land mines have been cleared from 1,100 minefields by the Halo Trust Co.
