2  A/ THE MONARCHY The monarchy of the United Kingdom is hereditary. The Queen is the sovereign of the United Kingdom and its overseas territories. It was originally Executive, judicial and legislative powers. At the present time, the estate is given to male heirs. In other words, the son of the monarch inherits before daughters, the oldest to the youngest.

3  Elizabeth II was 27 years old, when she became the Queen of Great Britain and Ireland at the Abbey of Westminster, in London. She came after her father, King George VI,. The ceremony was broadcasted on television in five European countries: England, France, Belgium, the Netherlands and Germany. "TV Coronation, made the conquest of the general public," as Le Figaro wrote the next day.

5  There were 25000 people at the St Paul's Cathedral of London. The heir to the throne of Great Britain, prince Charles married Lady Diana Spencer, 19.  They had two sons (William and Harry) and divorced in 1996.

6 LADY DIANA

7 Lady Diana was born July 1st, 1961 at Park House, Sandring Estate. She was the daughter of Edward John Viscount Althorp, but also from France. Lady’s parents where separated in 1969 when she was 8 years. Her mother remarried with Peter Shand Kydd.

9 Prince Charles, prince of Wales (Charles Philip Arthur George), was born in 1948 in London november 14 th. He is a member of the British Royal family, the eldest son of Queen Elisabeth II of the United Kingdom and prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh.

11  William of Wales, or William Arthur Philip Louis Mountbatten - Windsor, his real name, was born June 21st, 1982 in London. William was the second in the order of succession of the Kingdom. His real title is “Prince of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland”.

14 DDiana Spencer died in a traffic accident Sunday, August 31, 1997, as a result of her injuries at 4:00 am. Paris, Sunday, Aug. 31, 1997. That morning, television channels interrupted their programs.During the night, Lady Diana, Princess of Wales, died in a car accident when going through the tunnel of Pont de l'Alma. This information was a shock to everyone because people loved her : her grace, elegance and charisma. Her sentimental life, particularly her divorce with Prince Charles had made her a woman like any other, with her strengths and weaknesses. Fifteen years after her death, who is Lady Diana ? Her memory remains essential.

16  Prince William is the elder son of Prince Charles and Lady Diana Spencer, and is the grand- son of the Queen and Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh. His brother is Harry, as such, he is second, behind his father, in the order of succession to the throne in 16 independent states known as the Commonwealth realms.

17 BIOGRAPHIE : KATE  Catherine "Kate" Middleton is the eldest of three children of Michael and Carole Middleton. She was educated at St Andrew's School in Pangbourne, Marlborough college6 and at the University of St. Andrews7. After graduation, she worked in the retail trade, and as a buyer of accessories and catalog photographer in the company of his parents8. His ancestors are mostly English, with some French and Scottish ancestors huguenots9. His paternal family came from Leeds, West Yorkshire10 while the mother, the Harrisons, were workers and miners County Durham11.
