Ski Trip 9th February - 16th February 2018

2 Ski fit We will be arranging a trip to a dry ski slope so that all our beginners will have experience of the equipment and the feeling of skiing. Are you fit? Make sure by doing some of our handy exercises Eat well and sleep well

3 Passports Students need their own passports
Please ensure you hand in your information form and two photocopies of your passport, before you leave this evening.

4 EHIC Available at Takes approximately 1 week to process

12 Medication Chichester free school have a record of all medical conditions and required medication which was collected and collated in September of Year 7. If you have any new conditions or changes to medication please can you ensure the office have an up to date medical form. I will contact you separately if I feel we need to meet to discuss complex medical needs. If you are giving your child any medication to travel with such as headache tablets or arnica for bruises these must be placed in a named plastic bag and handed to me before your child boards the coach. If your child requires the medication then they will need to come to me so that I can dispense it and monitor them.

13 Pocket money Mr Fowler will be in charge of pocket money and will collect it from pupils prior to boarding the coach. Please make sure it is in a clearly labelled packet We will meet as a team every evening before dinner and issue pocket money to those who need it.

18 Ski lessons The children will be working with ski instructors all day, supervised constantly. International Swiss Ski School All English speaking instructors All internationally qualified Average group size of ten.

20 Trip rules No energy drinks or fizzy drinks to be consumed during travel or after 7pm Please no swearing Please no chewing gum Socialising happens in communal areas not each other's rooms. School rules with regard to talking to staff, ski instructors and members of the public, apply. Do not leave the centre alone or without permission No mobile phones (iPods for personal music are allowed)

21 Communication with home
Pupils do not need to bring mobile phones on the trip with them. Should pupils need to contact home, they can come to a member of staff who will contact you. We are collecting mobile phone numbers and landline numbers this evening. We are well aware that home sickness can be an issue however we are all very experienced in running international trips and will of course contact you, if we feel the need. If your child is injured on the slopes, Mrs Williams will contact you as soon as is practically possible and keep you regularly updated. Of course you can contact us directly if there is an emergency at home
