vocal or instrumental music written for a commercial purpose (e.g. film music songs) (Lyrics and chords acceptable for Popular entries.)

5 Categories Instrumental (solo/chamber ensemble)
instrumental solos and chamber music

6 Categories Instrumental (large ensemble)
music written for band or orchestra, including concertos

7 Categories Jazz Instrumental/Jazz Vocal
original jazz compositions for instrumentalists or vocalists

8 Categories Jazz Improvisation
solo improvisation which may be backed by rhythm section (no score required)

9 Categories Keyboard Solo (piano, organ, synthesizer)
composition for solo keyboard

10 Categories Vocal Solo solo vocal work, accompanied or unaccompanied

11 Categories Vocal Ensemble
composition for a group of voices, accompanied or unaccompanied

12 DUE Nov. 1 to Mrs. Catt $15 per composition
Winner gets full version of Finale If you place you get to go to All-State in Peoria and possibly have your piece performed in front of the state!

14 FMES Attend All-State as a Future Teacher
write an essay about why you want to teach music and how you plan to do so...elementary general music, high school band, middle school orchestra, high school guitar, etc.
