In this topic we will study the following: The concept of revelation Allah’s revelation throughout history and the Prophets (pbut) The final revelation of Allah (saw) to Muhammad (pbuh) The significance and importance of the Qur’an. Mystical and Religious Experiences

What does authority mean? What is a prophet? What is the Hadith and how is it different to the Qur’an? What is a Hafiz? What language is the Qur’an written in?

What does revelation mean? The nature or reality of God revealed to humans What does authority mean? The power to guide others What is a prophet? A messenger of God What is the Hadith and how is it different to the Qur’an? The sayings of Muhammad (pbuh) as opposed to the literal word of God What is a Hafiz? Someone who has memorised the entire Qur’an What language is the Qur’an written in? Arabic

7 Homework Research Joseph Smith’s revelation experience, when he received the Book of Mormon. Do you think it is a reliable account? What were Joseph Smith’s motives? Next week we will discuss this and compare it to Muhammad (PBUH)
