8 Output/Reflection Activities—Grade 7 Science
Get a copy of this page to tape onto PAGE A. The text below does not show everything on this worksheet. Output/Reflection Activities—Grade 7 Science You have completed notes or some other type of work on the left side of your notebook. You can use any of the following choices on the RIGHT side of your notebook. The RIGHT side allows you to express AND process your understanding in a variety of ways—illustrations, cartoon strips, reflections, etc. Illustrate (homework will specify either 1a, 1b, or 1c) Draw a picture of each vocabulary word or phrase. Draw a related picture and label the features on the illustration. Create an illustration about a major point in today’s notes and then label the features Cartoon with at least 3 frames with word bubble or captions for each frame. Write a connection between the left-side topic and something in the real world (4-6 sentences). Venn Diagram to compare items (must have at least 3 items). 5. Real World Connection (RWC): Find an article about our topic either on the internet, in a newspaper or in a magazine. Copy if needed, and paste it into your notebook (R-side). Underneath: write a 3-4 sentence summary of the article. AND write 3-4 sentences explaining how it relates to our current science topic.

On the top half of page, write the name of the type of organizer and the description, then draw the organizer. On the bottom half of page, do the same thing with the other organizer (page B is a little different…only the organizer will go on bottom half). Used to compare and contrast

10 Page C T-chart-Used to compare 2 items Web or Net-used to brainstorm about a topic

11 Flow Chart- used to show the sequence (order) of events
Page D Concept Wheel -- The main idea goes in the center circle of the wheel, with the supporting details going in the ‘spokes’.

12 Page E Top Down organizer - shows how items are related to one another

13 Page F Fish Bones –used to classify and describe sub-ideas
