2 Student Objectives Students will learn about the meaning of health and discuss how basic daily decisions affect an individuals health using classroom discussion and think pair share activities.

Def: Health: the combination of physical, mental/emotional, and social well being Health is dynamic – it is subject to change (what does that mean?) Def: Wellness: an overall state of wellbeing Health Continuum-What is it? -Activity-get with a person you are sitting next to or across from and discuss what you think the healthy continuim is.

Def: Prevention-practicing health and safety habits to remain free of disease and injury Def: Health Education-the providing of accurate health infromation to help people make healthy choices
