8. To access the HSE buildings you will have to get an ELECTRONIC PASS.
ELECTRONIC PASS & SOCIAL STUDENT CARD (TRANSPORT CARD)
To access the HSE buildings you will have to get an ELECTRONIC PASS.
This can be done once you have the student ID or the reference from your program office.
Go to the pass desk at Shabolovka ul.26, room 4110, from 10:00 till 19:30

The SOCIAL CARD has two major functions:
Student’s stipend is transferred to the card and allows students to use public transport in Moscow (metro, buses, trams, trolleybuses) at a discounted price.
It must be activated and then refilled every month, separately for the metro (at a metro cashier’s) and the ground public transport (in grey ticket kiosks).

The Learning Management System (LMS) is the HSE`s educational space that connects instructors with their students. Teachers upload course materials, tests, tasks via the LMS for distribution to students. Students submit their home assignments or questions to teachers.

10. фото фото фото EDUCATIONAL PROCESS ORGANIZATION at HSE
Our academic year is divided into 4 modules of  8-10 educational weeks
Each module is followed by an examination period (1-2 weeks). As a rule, the time for exam preparations isn't provided
We do not have pass/fail tests at HSE. For your results assessment only exams are held. The exams are generally held in written form
There are some disciplines which do not end in examinations. In this case your work will be appraised  by your work during the module and your lectures attendance
Please study the program syllabus, it will help you to know the discipline content beforehand, to know its forms of exams 
Repeated exams are allowed only after the 2nd module (till February 15) and 4th module (till October 15)
Every student has 3 attempts to pass the exam: the first one - during the exam period, the second one – during the reexam period on the same conditions, the third one - during the reexam period, the exam is passed to the commission
If the discipline doesn't end in an exam, you will have the only reexam and directly with the commission. One reexam is held for research work and term papers
All marks are given in a ten-point scale, the compliance for a five-point scale is also established
The academic progress of students in HSE is compared by means of the current rating

11. фото фото фото A STUDENT CAN BE EXPELLED FOR:
the academic poor progress (3 and more fails, when a student hasn't chosen the subject of a term paper in time, and so on)
failing to defend the Master Thesis
violation of university regulations:
-cheating, repeated submission of same written assignments, plagiarism, forgery, fabrication of data and results;
-the student's absence after the academic leave;
-submission of false documents, including medical certificates;
-the statements and actions leading to kindling of national and social discord, to insult of religious feelings;
gross violation of regulation, causing essential harm of business reputation of the university 
failure to timely pay when training at a paid basis

to register the personal electronic pass card
to register the student social card
to get acquainted with local regulations of HSE
to join the university library and to receive textbooks – it's up to you
till September 21 to form the Individual curriculum
to read information on our website, in corporate mail, in LMS DAILY (we will announce the schedule changes, urgent announcements, information of grants and other important information there)
to follow the TERMS/DEADLINES  and strictly observe them!
