5 Standard or Advanced Studies High School Diploma
CREDENTIAL REQUIREMENTS ISSUED BY High School Diploma Standard Diploma Advanced Studies Diploma Adult students who are enrolled in an Adult High School Program and complete all requirements of the diploma , with the exception of Health and PE, regulated by the Board of Education in effect at the time they will graduate will be awarded a diploma as provided in 8 VAC School Division

9/10/2018 Adult High School Diploma CREDENTIAL REQUIREMENTS ISSUED BY Adult High School Diploma Adult students who are enrolled in an Adult High School Program and complete the course credit requirements in effect for any Board recognized diploma, with the exception of Health and PE, at the time they first entered the ninth grade. The requirement for specific assessments may be waived if the assessments are no longer administered to students in Virginia public schools. School Division

7 General Achievement Adult High School Diploma (GAAHSD)
9/10/2018 General Achievement Adult High School Diploma (GAAHSD) Formerly the General Achievement Diploma (GAD) CREDENTIAL REQUIREMENTS ISSUED BY General Achievement Adult High School Diploma (GAAHSD) Earn 20 credits (English, Math, Science, History/Social Sciences, Electives) Achieve passing score on a HSE (GED®) Complete an education or training program; earn a Board-approved CTE credential such as an industry certification, (e.g., Career Readiness Certificate), a state licensure examination, a national occupational competency assessment, or the Virginia Workplace Readiness Skills Assessment. 8 National External Diploma Program (NEDP®)
CREDENTIAL REQUIREMENTS ISSUED BY Adult High School Diploma Students must successfully demonstrate through applied performance 100 percent mastery of the 70 NEDP Generalized Competencies in the areas of reading, writing, math, science, geography, history, financial literacy, health literacy, cultural literacy, civic literacy, and 21st century workplace skills. School Division

9 High School Equivalency Examination (HSE)
CREDENTIAL REQUIREMENTS ISSUED BY Official Virginia Certificate Successfully pass an approved HSE examination. Currently, the only approved HSE examination in Virginia is the GED® test. School Division
