6. Our region Great Hungarian Plain
Tokaj wine region or Tokaj-Hegyalja wine region is a historical wine region located in northeastern Hungary. It is also one of the seven larger wine regions of Hungary. Hegyalja means "foothills" in Hungarian, and this was the original name of the region.
The region consists of 28 named villages and 11,149 hectares of classified vineyards, of which an estimated 5,500 are currently planted. Tokaj has been declared a World Heritage Site in 2002 under the name Tokaj Wine Region Historic Cultural Landscape. However, its fame long predated this distinction because it is the origin of Tokaji aszú wine, the world's oldest botrytized wine.
Eger wine region is a Hungarian wine region in North-Eastern Hungary. It is famous for its red blend, Egri Bikavér and for some whites like Egri Leányka, Debrői Hárslevelű or Egerszóláti Olaszrizling. Its center is the town of Eger.

Founded in 1717
Supervised by the Reformed Church
The name of our school is Móricz Zsigmond Reformed Secondary Grammar and Technical School.
Our school was founded in 1717, and the current building has been standing here since 1894.
Until 1948, the school was supervised by the Reformed church, and then it became a state school for more than 60 years. And from this school year, it went back to its roots and wears the „Reformed” title proudly again.

The library, as we know it now, has been around since 1876.
There are more than books on the shelves now.
Our school is well equipped with modern devices.
We have several interactive whiteboards, projectors and students can work cooperatively
using laptops in specialized classrooms like in the literature room or media room.
The study office is for the vocational students, with the atmosphere and conditions of a real office

The devices are high quality and modern equipments.
This ensures modern learning environment for both students and teachers.

Through Visual Studio 2010 development environment students use C# program language.
These laboratories help to prepare for ECDL, IT Essentials, CISCO CCNA exams.

Our school is a grammar school because you can study general subjects such as Maths, Hungarian, Science, IT, PE, Art for 4 years.
In secondary technical education you can specialise to IT or economics. These lasts also for 4 years.
At the end of these years students take school leaving exams and they can choose later to get in to university.
Those students who passed their exams can go to vocational trainings.
Our school offers 2 options, system administrator and logistics manager.
After finishing the previously mentioned courses, students will get competitively suitable certificates.
