3. Objectives : -to train memory, -to enrich vocabulary, -to enrich vocabulary, -to develop spelling skills, - to raise interest and motivation to learn English.

4. SPELLING BEE COMPETITION The spelling competition is open to all primary school pupils aged 10 to 12 years old. It is a academic competition.

5. It is conducted in rounds ( single round not multi -round). This is the third year that spellers from ALAZIZIA education office attend the competition. It is sponsored by AL-ROWAD PRIVATE SCHOOL

6. It is supervised by AL-AZAZIA EDUCATION OFFICE – THE DIVISION F ENGLISH LAMGUAGE. Each school nominated a pupil from each grade to participate.

7. RULES AND REGULATIONS the pronouncer gives the word. All the participants taking part in this spelling competition will be tested on their spelling skills. the contestant is encouraged to pronounce the word.(he will spell one word in each round). the speller must say the word before spelling it and after spelling it.

8. If a contestant spells a word correctly, he remains in the game awaiting his next turn. Upon incorrect spelling a word, the speller is eliminated from the competition ( he will drop out of the contest) The contestants aren't allowed to use Arabic language during the competition. In case the word is not clear, you are allowed to ask about its meaning in English before starting spelling.

9. The contestant will lose his chance to spell if he misspells the word from the first time. When the contestants are equal in the final, the referees have the right to give them totally out words. Judges are in complete control of the bee – their decisions are final. All spellers will be seated on the stage in order Each speller will be given a number to wear around his neck.
