7 Ensure that there is a system within the school that fully ensures consistent implementation of effective instructional practices that meet the needs of all students across all classrooms and aligns with the Pennsylvania Framework for Teaching Systematic Challenges Action Plan Components All teachers DO NOT communicate OR create classroom environments of respect, rapport, high expectations, and family engagement in order to promote a culture for learning. All teachers DO NOT effectively organize physical space, manage classroom procedures, OR manage student behavior. All teachers DO NOT use multiple instructional strategies (e.g. questioning, discussion, structured grouping, flexible grouping, and differentiated instruction) that actively engage OR meet student learning needs. All teachers DO NOT demonstrate knowledge of the students within their classrooms, including the knowledge of child development, learning processes, special needs and cultural heritage. All teachers DO NOT set instructional outcomes OR design coherent instruction to meet the outcomes. All teachers DO NOT appropriately adjust lessons to address student needs. Open

Content, including materials, activities and estimated instructional time for achieving the academic standards, IS NOT documented for all planned instruction. The objectives of planned courses and instructional units ARE NOT identified for each subject is documented for all planned instruction. The procedures for measurement of mastery of the objectives of planned course and instructional units ARE NOT documented for all planned instruction. The alignment among the objectives of a planned course, instructional units and academic standards IS NOT documented for all planned instruction. The curricula for all courses /subjects ARE NOT easily accessible to all educators. Processes ARE NOT in place OR implemented to identify, update and align standards, curriculum, instruction, and assessments.

Systematic Challenges Action Plan Components High quality aligned instructional materials ARE NOT identified by all teachers and the principal, and a robust supply IS NOT available. The principal and all teachers DO NOT ensure that materials and resources are aligned and supportive of academic standards OR progress from one grade level to the next. The principal and all teachers DO NOT ensure that materials and resources are differentiated and allocated to accommodate diverse levels of student motivation, performance, and educational needs. Career awareness and career development (planning, coaching, and mentoring) programs ARE NOT implemented within the school by all educators, including the principal.
