 The Dawn is awake: dawn is given the human trait of waking.
Music singing in the hills: music is given the ability of singing.
Voices the new awakening: the Paean is given a voice.
The torch of gold is borne: a torches (or suns) are not really born persay.

 The dawn of a thousand dreams and thrills: it could be interpreted that this is an exaggeration.
A paeanof eternal spring: Spring is not eternal. Even the sun will extinguish at some time. This line is an exaggeration.

 The torch of gold is borne: this compares the sun to a torch of gold without using the word "like" or "as.“

 There are many examples of visual and audio imagery throughout the poem.
With the mingled fragrance of the trees: this uses olfactory imagery or imagery of the nose.
Fathers! torn and numb: this line accesses the sense of touch.

Personification "But dreams come slow and they go so fast" Hyperbole  ''Everything you touch, oh it dies" Metaphor "Only hate the road when you're missing home" "Cause love comes slow and it goes so fast" He uses personification by describing love and dreams as being objects by saying that they come slow and fast as if they were walking or running. Theme  The theme of the song is losing a love and not realizing what you had or how much you actually appreciated the people you had in your life until they were gone. He uses a hyperbole by describing that realistically things don't die when you touch them so it is not meant to be taken literally.  He uses a metaphor by comparing the road and his home, or in this case the fighting and the comfort in the relationship. Onomatopoeia He uses onomatopoeia by using words to imitate sounds. This makes the song more interesting because it expresses feelings through sounds.
