1 Colon carcinoma. (A) A colon cancer is often demonstrated as an irregular-shaped hypoechoic mass with an echogenic core inside, which is called the “pseudokidney sign” (7.5 MHz). (B) An obstructing colon cancer (arrow) is demonstrated as a circular wall thickening at the site of obstruction, where dilated colon filled with dense spot echoes is tapering (3.5 MHz). (C) Circular wall thickening of the rectum (arrow) is demonstrated in a case of recurrent gastric carcinoma (3.5 MHz).
