3 This time last year….. The WCRC will be a comprehensive cancer research centre with strong academic and NHS clinical leadership and a multi-disciplinary Senior Management Team. All Theme Leads are academic clinicians The Welsh Government funding via Health and Care Research Wales funds 44 whole or part time staf,f working in 7 different institutions. The coordinating office consists of three staff to support WCRC activities The leadership also includes a Patient and Public team led by a lay researcher partner and a research academic, both volunteers. Community Theme includes Prevention & Early Diagnosis, in a Cross Collaboration with HCRW’s PRIME Centre (primary care and emergency medicine) Leads: Kate Brain (Cardiff) and Richard Neal (Bangor)
