2 What is a Wireless Network?
Wireless network is a method by which homes, telecommunications networks and business installations avoid the costly process of introducing cables into a building, or as a connection between various equipment locations.

3 DIFFERENT TOPOLOGIES

4 The core components of any Wi-Fi Network
Access Points (APs): these incorporate radio antenna technologies to connect and communicate over the air with mobile computing devices such as tablets and laptops. Centralised Management System: this is a tool to allow the systems administrator to manage the system. Wireless Controllers: these control and coordinate all Access Points, and a wide range of the associated network functions.

5 Basic Wi-Fi configuration
A network cable connects the NIC to a wall data outlet/Ethernet port, which is wired to a port on an Ethernet switch. The Ethernet switch establishes a connection to the network and onwards to the Internet.

6 This is what happens for the user to get access to the wireless controller and administrators prevent unauthorised access.

7 Basic challenges of Wi-Fi in institutions
The management of wireless system itself Controlling levels of user access to management, staff, students Managing the additional devices (tablets, laptops etc.,) Monitoring usage, and management Resolving any technical or other related issues
