The Taiga Food Web By: Carli Phillips
2
ENERGY First the food web starts with the sun that gives energy to the producer, the grass and berries. Then the consumer/herbivore or the snowshoe rabbit, moose, and deer would eat the plant and take some of it’s energy that it got from the sun. Next the secondary consumer/carnivore or the wolverine, minks, and the ermine would eat the primary consumer and get some of it’s energy. Then the secondary consumers would get eaten by the tertairy consumers/carnivores or the grizzly bear, arctic wolf, and the great horned owl and they would get some of the energy from the food they ate. Last some of the animals would die and get decomposed by the decomposer or the fungi, and the cycle would start over again.
