3 T HINGS TO L OOK O UT F OR IN G YMNASTICS C LASSES Safety Look out for the structure and physical set up of the gym. Also, check to see the certifications held by instructors. Find out if the staffs at the gym have undergone any professional Gymnastic course in relation to safety and risk management. Gym Information An 8:1 ratio is ideal for kids ages 4 and above. It is ideal to go for private facilities. Staffs at private gymnastic classes will not only give your child personalized attention but also ensure he or she masters the skills in a timely manner. Communication Keep in touch with your gymnast. State clearly what you expect your child to experience. Becoming a professional gymnast takes a little time thus it requires patience.

They need to set their goals and work hard to excel in this sport. If a kid has a passion for gymnastics, then he or she will be focused and determined to master the skills regardless of how challenging it looks. And as they advance to the next stage, their confidence begins to build. Improving mental awareness Gymnastic classes offer many benefits including helping kids develop both mentally and physically. Make sure the gymnastics team has the best coaching staff. Cost Be sure to ask relevant questions that pertain to fees and charges. Ask if there are any hidden costs. Also, ask if there is a mandatory competitive gymnastic camp and do you have to pay extras for that. Gym policy Remember to check if the gym allows parents to stay and watch lessons. If parents are not allowed to watch their child workout, it is advisable to stay away. Opening times Check to see if they the gymnastics team have a meet schedule. And if your child ends up on the gymnastics team, be sure to check out the meet schedule.

6 F ACTORS TO C ONSIDER IN A G YMNASTICS T EAM P ROGRAM Location Distance from your home to the gymnastics school is important regardless of age or level of experience. Quality of Coaching Are they friendly? Do they give gymnasts personal attention? Are they enthusiastic? Do they take safety seriously? Are they certified? Age Range It is best to choose a gym with bigger gymnastics team because they probably have more kids of varying age at different levels. Sufficient Training Equipment Are they using a more advanced equipment? Go to the gym and check if the gym is clean. Competitive Team Choose a gym with Level 10 and Elite gymnasts training in the facility.

7 H OSTING T HE P ERFECT G YMNASTICS B IRTHDAY P ARTY F OR Y OUR L ITTLE ONE Décor Consider gymnastic party decors. You can decorate a room at a local gym using balloons and streamers. Or choose an Olympian theme which comprises of white, blue and red. To make the place look more appealing, use a big, inflatable gold trophy. Decorate your child’s birthday cake in the shape of Olympic rings. Your kid will definitely love it. Entertainment A local gym offers plenty of fun-filled activities that guests can try out. Activities include balance beam, tumbling mats, ball pit, bars, trampoline and much more. Some gymnasiums offer mouthwatering gymnastics birthday party package which includes organized games and activities. At the end of every game, a prize is awarded to the winners. Give each child a medal with the national anthem playing.
