Member surveys and focus groups in 2013 and 2014 professional development and networking are most valued request for formal mentoring Sector-wide reports: mentoring is an important factor in professional development April 2014 report to HEFCE, An emerging profession: The Higher Education Philanthropy Workforce 46 % of the report’s survey participants rated formal mentoring programmes as one of the top three methods for training and development CASE has taken on board this recommendation when enhancing our member services to include a new online mentoring platform

Usability – easy and intuitive interface User control: CASE and mentors Value for money Known to our membership body Able to operate globally Reporting functionality – allows us measure the impact of the platform and programme e.g. mentors signed up, matches, completes

6 e-Mentoring Where are we in the process and next steps
Tender – received four bids, working globally with CASE offices CASE Europe Annual Conference 2015 Announce selected platform Launch a pilot with Fundraisers in advance of wider CASE Europe community Pilot for three months Develop short-term goal for pilot group: report on the effectiveness of the e-mentoring relationship and platform (e.g. career mapping, short organisational project, change management, upskilling) Roll out the programme to member community Global connectivity, across types of institutions and disciplines
