Course Description An integrating course for AB development studies majors. The course allows the students to apply their knowledge, concepts, and skills taken in the pre-requisite research methods class by way of systematically inquiring into a specific development issue, guided by a model or theory in development studies or the policy sciences. Student research projects will be presented in a public forum at the end of the term.

Required Documents and Files
Submission Documents -Naming Conventions -Revision History (Doc properties, Separate tab for Excel) Data files -Definition doc/page -Clean-up necessary, encoding / variables -Double-check figures (errata from sources) Research Ethics -If there are ethical considerations, inquire at DLSU-REO -Take care of privacy concerns related to your research (i.e. respondent identities, interview docs, etc.)

Tables, Diagrams, Figures Must include original format(excel) NOT just jpg/gif -Format check -Ensure accuracy SRP/Thesis groups to submit updated progress reports with accompanying GANTT charts which they will present at the beginning of term 3 -Trial runs for presentations -Publication options

Formatting Utilize the automatic Table of Contents function -Update automatically every time you save -Bottom of page numbering -Center OR Mirrored(Odd-even) Header / Footer Section breaks Consistency in Spacing Margins, Tabs, Indentations Reference section -learn and use software such as Zotero -automatically update citations and references, -still, double-check -ensure consistency in reference formatting (Tentatively, APA)

Turnitin (for students not yet registered, email Dr. Reyes ASAP)
Prepare a clean (no comments, highlights,etc.) and flattened version of your manuscript for Turnitin -Ideally, 25% or less similarity -Follow Library instructions for Turnitin to avoid false positives

Analysis This is not a blow-by-blow quoting section! Results and Analysis sections are distinct from each other; However, Analysis can be integrated with Discussion when you contextualize or compare your results with other research/studies Organize your findings and apply your theoretical/conceptual model to understand your data and answer your RQs

Reviewing External party reads your manuscript to check for spelling typos, grammar, formatting errors, etc. -Parents, Family, team exchange Later on, you may acquire the services of professional proof-readers for the final draft. About the author: Currently teaching in the Political Science Department at De La Salle University, Dr. Reyes completed his PhD studies at Tohoku University’s Graduate School of Environmental Studies. His interest for research are in norm diffusion, international relations, security, environmentally significant behavior, knowledge orientations, attitudes, quantitative research methods, and sociodemographic indicators. Dr. Reyes also worked as a Research Specialist for the Department of Foreign Affairs' Foreign Service Institute. He finished his double-degree Masters in European Studies at Uniwersytet Jagielloński (Poland) and Rijksuniversiteit Groningen (The Netherlands) in the Euroculture Programme.
