Welcome Thank you all so much for taking the time to join us here this evening! There will be a second parent meeting in the fall to talk about fees, track meets, conditioning, practices, academic policies, etc. Sign-in sheet

Welcome back to all returning athletes!

New Athletes You’re joining a boys’ team that shattered 9 school records and a girls’ team that shattered 5 school records out of 11 records You’re joining a team that had 26 first place, 13 second place, and 19 third place individual finishes in seven track meets

Summer Workouts June 6th – July 25th
Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7- 8 am If you miss more than three workouts, you will receive strike one If you have any issues, please let me know

Behavior Coach Brabson and I run a 3 strike and you’re out system for expectations, behavior, and grades 1 strike = sit out one meet 2 strikes = sit out two meets 3 strikes = off the team

Diet Stay away from greasy foods Eat fruits, vegetables, lean meats
Drink plenty of water throughout the day, not just when you show up for workouts Bring water to practices Sports drinks are okay. Drink only 1 though Stay away from sugary drinks, sodas, and energy drinks

Take care of your body Epsom salt baths
Ice down sore muscles (building new muscles) Nurse Dawn will let me know of any medical conditions Any athletes with asthma, please make sure to carry your inhaler during practices

Running shoes For summer workouts, you need good running shoes from any local sports stores (Academy, Hibbet’s, etc.) No basketball shoes, dress shoes, flip flops, or no shoes Do not get trail running shoes Sprinters: You don’t need running spikes yet
