3 Avoiding illness Washing your hands is one of the most important preventative measures you can take to keep you, your family and teammates well Bacteria and viruses that can make people sick are found on many surfaces in everyday life SAFETY SCHOOL > Information provided by the Georgia Urban Ag Council and W.S. 6 When to wash After working out in the field

7 How to wash Center for Disease Control suggests the following method for hand washing Use soap and clean warm water Wash hands for at least 20 seconds SAFETY SCHOOL > Information provided by the Georgia Urban Ag Council and W.S. Pharr & Co.

8 How to wash Rub hands, wash palms, get between fingers, etc.

9 How to wash Note: Before washing your hands, make sure that a clean towel is readily available If the towel dispenser has a handle or crank, have the towel(s) cranked or turned and ready for use Use your towel to open the door before exiting SAFETY SCHOOL > Information provided by the Georgia Urban Ag Council and W.S.
