5 Causes of Rosacea rosaceaskincare.com
The cause of rosacea is unknown, but it could be due to a combination of hereditary and environmental factors. Rosacea is not caused by poor hygiene. A number of factors can trigger or aggravate rosacea by increasing blood flow to the surface of your skin. Some of these factors include: Hot drinks and spicy foods Alcohol Temperature extremes Sunlight or wind Emotions Exercise Cosmetics Drugs that dilate blood vessels, including some blood pressure medications rosaceaskincare.com

6 Cure for Rosacea aad.org
The signs and symptoms of rosacea vary substantially from one patient to another, and treatment must therefore be tailored by a physician for each individual case. Some patients are troubled by redness and flushing, while others have bumps and pimples, thickening of the skin, or eye rosacea or combinations. (patients with bumps and pimples are prescribed oral and topical rosacea therapy, and a topical therapy to reduce facial redness is now available.) When appropriate, laser treatment or other surgical procedures may be used to remove visible blood vessels, reduce extensive redness or correct disfigurement of the nose. Eye symptoms are commonly treated with oral antibiotics and ophthalmic therapy. In addition, rosacea patients are advised to identify and avoid lifestyle and environmental factors that may aggravate their individual conditions. Patients may also benefit from gentle and appropriate skin care, and cosmetics may be used to reduce the effect of rosacea on appearance. aad.org

7 Worst Case Scenario for Rosacea
In severe and rare cases, the oil glands (sebaceous glands) in your nose and sometimes your cheeks become enlarged, resulting in a buildup of tissue on and around your nose — a condition called rhinophyma. More common in men and develops slowly over a period of years. Rosacea.org

8 Fun Facts!! Fair-skinned women are most likely to get rosacea (Though anyone can get rosacea, people between 30 and 50 years of age,  are fair-skinned or have Celtic or Scandinavian ancestry are most likely to get the condition. In addition, women are more likely than men to develop it, and your genes play a role.) It is now estimated by the National Rosacea Society (NRS) that 16 million Americans suffer from the signs and symptoms of rosacea, and millions more may be in temporary remission. Rosaeca.org

9 Fun Facts Continued!! Where is Rosacea Worst?
Residents of New England appear to suffer the highest incidence of rosacea in the United States, while those in Hawaii may be affected the least, according to a geographic analysis of National Rosacea Society (NRS) membership data. Roseca.org
