2014  GANIL/SPIRAL TC AGATA D.+PRISMA FRS ( p) Total Eff Nominal. ~2.6% Total Eff. (b=0.5) ~ 10% Total Eff ~ 8% to 14%

3 3rd of last June : our D-Day in Normandy

4 Mechanical installation
Collaboration: IPHC, STFC, CSNSM, GANIL Touchdown 26th of June

5 Mechanical installation
Collaboration: IPHC, STFC, CSNSM, GANIL Installation completed Alignment done Grounding tests done Target area tested under vacuum  Next step is the mechanical installation of the detectors this week

6 Infrastructure Collaboration : Irfu, GSI, GANIL Full test completed with an EXOGAM clover 1st week of September 2 AGATA TC connected to the system

7 Front End Electronic and Data Acquisition 2nd of June 18th of June :
Collaboration : CSNSM, STFC, LNL, IPNL, IPNO, IPHC, GANIL 2nd of June 19th of June 18:43 18th of June : lxagata0.gsi.de  lxagata0.ganil.fr

10 Front End Electronic and Data Acquisition
Collaboration : CSNSM, STFC, LNL, IPNL, GANIL

11 Detectors 26th of September
Collaboration: IKP, Uni. Liverpool, Irfu, GSI, GANIL 26th of September ATC1 and ATC5 prepared at GANIL with the help of IKP-Cologne Detectors cooled down last week. Test on-going This week : mounting into the structure with IKP-GSI-GANIL Next delivery in 2-3 weeks

12 Planning Mechanical installation completed end of June Installation FEE-DAQ end completed end of July AF, DSS, cabling completed end of August First cooling of detectors and installation last week  highest priority put on the integration of the detectors into the system Source Tests October—November  AGATA ready for in-beam commissioning budget : 349,1 k€ from GANIL + 41 k€ from IN2P3: Total = 390 k€. (2012 estimation was 421 k€, overhead excluded). The first commissioning will be 40Ar+122Sn between the 13th-15th of October with AGATA solo. 27 November : 17 UT 8 December : 19 UT 238U beam for the commissioning of the AGATA-VAMOS coupling. The campaign starts on the 3rd of March and ends on the 22nd of July with a very high rate of experiment.

13 Front End Electronic and Data Acquisition FATIMA-PARIS
Collaboration : CSNSM, STFC, LNL, IPNL, GANIL FATIMA-PARIS 7 experiments in March-July 2015 UT

14 FATIMA and PARIS at AGATA
2 experiments accepted to be scheduled late 2015 or beginning of 2016 Courtesy of B. Bruyneel The AGATA ancillary team gathers the 3 collaborations Courtesy of A. Maj Joined mechanical integration Electronic to be defined In this simulation, Agata consisted out of 5ATC + 5ADC, So in total 25 agata crystals were used in the simulation, Positioned at a radius of 23.5cm. There is no place in this setup to move the AGATA cluster 10 cm forward. Although it is possible to perform tracking, This option was not used in these simulations. Agata was here simulated as a classic detector, And only the central core energy of each crystal was used. (there is still differences of about 50% between simulated and experimental tracking performance !!! See talk D. Bazzacco, 13th AGATA week – and next slide) Fatima was implemented in 8 x clusters of 4 crystals. These detectors would fit in the exogam frame. Minimum radius would be 15.6cm, This corresponds to the length of the gray arrows in the picture. In the simulation of the fatima detector is included: -the alu tube for the pmt – (in blue. the pmt itself is not included) -a 1.5 inch x 2 inch encapsulated LaBr crystal -a 5 mm quartz window behind the crystal -the lead collimator surrounding the crystal (in yellow) It should be noted that peak to total will be worse experimentally, Due to the absence of the massive magnets in the simulation. This problem is currently under discusion in the Agata simulation working group… (see talk D.Bazzacco at 13th Agata week, and next slide)  accepted experiments (+ FATIMA/PARIS) Both NEDA and the Vamos gas-filled mode can be ready in 2017 2017  NEDA data taking (?) 2018  Vamos –gas-filled (?) Next PAC beginning of 2015
