E¶n]Ìl[i¡[h This week in English, we have been writing letters. When writing a letter we must remember to add our address, say who the letter is to and say who the letter is from. For your home learning this week, we would like you to write a letter to someone of your choice. You could write a letter to your teacher, Mr Cooke, a friend or a family member and ask them what anything you like. We have learnt that the verb in a sentence tells us which tense the sentence is written in. The past tense is when something has already happened and the present tense is when something is happening right now. Look at the words in the word bank and write them in the correct column in the table. You will need to read the calculations below and match them to their inverse calculation. Example: = 9 and = 5 3 + 2 = 5 2 + 4 = 6 6 - 4 = 2 4 + 4 = 8 Add ones and some tens 7 + 3 = 10 = 7 8 - 4 = 4 5 - 2 = 3 Challenge: Can you write the inverse calculation to this addition calculation? 5 + 3 = 8
