4 First Year Rep Responsibilities
Sit on the Board of Directors (can join the CUS Academic Committee) Represent your year cohort Communicate important happenings at the CUS to year cohort Attend monthly BoD meetings Attend exec meetings twice a month. Serve as an Advisor to the First Year Committee

6 Nomination Process First year rep can only be nominated by first year commerce students Requires 20 signatures for successful nomination A commerce student can nominate at most 2 candidates for the same position. (YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR INFORMING THOSE ENDORSING YOU.) Submit Nomination Form at the All-Candidates Meeting on September 25. Nomination forms will be kept in the CUS Lounge after today’s information session. You can also download a copy off our website! ( All candidates must submit a word write-up outlining platform and any changes you want to make

7 Biography, Posters and Headshot Guideline
Must state campaign platform and/or autobiography Min. 150 words, Max. 250 words Headshot (Which will be used on the Elections website) Your choice of professionalism Needs to be minimum of 800px X 800px Posters need to be US Letter size (8.5’ x 11’) Submit bios, headshots and posters to with subject line ‘FYR submissions’

Saturday, Sept. 23 (11:59pm) – Biographies, Headshots and Posters due. Monday, Sept 25 (6:00pm) - All Candidates Meeting (HA 254). Nomination Forms and Candidates Agreement Form due. Wednesday, Oct 4 (6:00pm) - All Candidates Forum (Birmingham). Wednesday, Oct 4 (9:00pm) - Start of Voting Period. Friday, Oct 6 (9:00pm) - End of Voting Period and Results Announced.
