Introduction This session is brought to you by the GEOSS Standards and Interoperability Forum (SIF). Three previous interoperability workshops conducted. Participating in this workshop in support of GEO Task IN-05. Purpose: The SIF provides advice, expertise and impartial guidance on issues relating to standards and interoperability for GEOSS. Goal: Enabling ever greater degrees of interoperability among GEOSS components through facilitation, technical analysis, advocacy and education. March 26-28, 2013

Agenda and BIOs Vision on GEOSS Evolution: Towards a GEOSS for all stakeholders Roberto Cossu (ESA, GEOWOW) Working on several projects dealing with EO applications and related innovation technologies with the overall aim of providing users with “easy” access to heterogeneous EO data and related processing services for their exploitation. Has acted as Project Director of GENESI-DEC. Currently Technical Director of GEOWOW. March 26-28, 2013

Joan Maso (CREAF, GeoViQua) Co-developer of the OGC WMS, WFS and WCS server and client MiraMon technology, and the MiraMon metadata profile. Active member of the OGC TC since 2003. Spanish representative for the current ISO revision process. Coordinator of the EC FP7 GeoViQua project. President elect of the Earth and Space Science Informatics division of the EGU. Agenda and BIOs Brokering for Multi-Disciplinary Interopera-bility: An EarthCube perspective Siri Jodha Singh Khalsa (NSIDC) Performs research on remote sensing of the cryosphere. Supports NASA's Earth Observing System. Helped establish IEEE's Committee on Earth Observations, which serves as IEEE's representative to the Group on Earth Observation, GEO. Was the original lead of the SIF and supports standards work in various domains. March 26-28, 2013
