Fall is in the air! We hope you all found the recent Lunch and Learn session beneficial. Please feel free to contact us at anytime should you have questions or concerns. It is a joy and pleasure to be able to teach your children everyday!

3 November: Field trip to the GA Aquarium

Please make sure you are checking and signing your child’s Tuesday folder each week.
Our field trip to the GA Aquarium is November 3rd. If you have not already sent in a permission slip and the money, please do so ASAP. The cost is $5.
Please make sure your child is reading at least 30 minutes every night. Ask your child questions about what they are reading to ensure comprehension.
We are still in need of glue sticks, crayons, Kleenex, Clorox wipes and paper towels if you are able to donate.
Please send in a pair of headphones for your child if you have not already done so. Dollar Tree are fine.
Our Learning Targets for this month:
Reading: We have begun reading non fiction passages. Your child is learning the difference between fiction and non fiction and is comparing and contrasting information in passages. In phonics, we are learning about long vowels and vowel teams.
Writing: We are working on informational writing. Your child will be giving facts in their writing.
Math: We are working on place value (tens and ones).
Social Studies: We are learning about Benjamin Franklin and Thomas Jefferson.
Science: We will be working on weather all year, but will also be learning about sound this month.
