The skeleton of the structure is built out of massive wood beams that are taken from and hewn from trees. Still commonly found in barns around our areas. Many people do build there homes this way and leave the beams exposed inside the house to add a certain look to the home Typically no metal fasteners are used. All is held together with holes and wood pegs Very proven system of building ahs been around since humans first constructed permanent dwellings.
