Problem and solutions/ Advantages and disadvantages: Difference between junk food and home cooking Conclusion

5 IELTS Speaking (1 minute)
Introduction: That's an interesting question. I absolutely believe home cooked food is healthier and everyone should avoid junk food. Analysis: Generally speaking, eating fresh foods is always best. My grandparents and parents always encouraged us to stay away from junk food for several reasons. First of all, chips, candy bars, soda etc, are high in sugar, salt and/or carbohydrates. According to scientific evidence, we now know how toxic the preservatives in junk food are. It is no wonder diabetes and cancer are on the rise around the world. On the other hand, by preparing your own meals at home, you can control exactly what goes into it. From my point of view, food manufacturers simply do not care about consumer health-- they will use toxic amounts of sugar, salt and preservatives just to make a profit. Unfortunately, our lives are much busier nowadays than the days of our parents and grandparents— people just do not have time to cook. I suppose this is why junk food is so popular even though it is so unhealthy. Conclusion: Overall, I really believe everyone should avoid junk food and attempt to cook at home as much as possible. As we have seen, diabetes and cancer are extremely widespread these days which I personally feel has to do with our unhealthy diet and lifestyle. 219 words 1 minute and 30 seconds (google translate) .
