6 Navigation Menu Bar Primary navigation menu for EMS.
Do not change (Drupal’s menu - Structure) The navigation menu bar should not be changed without a request for change with the Web Publisher.

7 Navigation Side Pane (Reuseables)
Secondary menu to navigate for each program. Resuseable listed links will vary by program. Reusable links need to be maintained and changed when necessary by Web Stewards.

8 Creating New Pages (Follow Standards and Guidelines document)
Consider the following questions: 1 Where will the new page exist? >Navigation Menu >Reusable Side Pane >Linked from another page >Standalone landing page 2 Who is the audience? >Prospective Students >Current Students >Alumni 3 What page content elements should be included? >Buttons - Request Program Information/Visit Campus >Reusable – Program Resources >Reusable – Program Resources with Social Media links >Reusable – Student Resources >Reusable – Contact Us >Button – Blue or Orange button (HTML Stylesheet Class type) Refer to existing pages to model your new page with existing content. Copy-Paste HTML code to your new page and modify.

9 Creating New Pages - Continued
Consider the following questions: 4 Will images be included? >Follow the Standards and Guidelines document File location in Drupal +Image dimensions +Image file size (1 megabyte or smaller) +Include Alternate Text information 5 Will PDF files be included? >Follow the Standards and Guidelines document File location in Drupal 6 Will videos/movies be included? >Follow the Standards and Guidelines document File location in Drupal >Have you planned to use a video hosting service? 7 Copy new page URL and refer to tech issue notes. >Without publishing rights? 10 Creating New Page Process
From your Drupal menu, Add Content. From this page click to select the Page link. Select EMS from the list for Contenct Section….. The Create Page will open where you will add the content needed to create your new page. When you are finished editing, click the Save button to save your page. Important extra step. Copy the URL address from your browser address bar.  Save this copied URL somewhere so that it can be ed to later. When you are finished editing this new page and it is ready to be published, change the page Moderation state from Draft to Needs Review. Important extra step. to the copied URL you saved back in step 4 and request in your for this newly created page to be published. Once the page is published, you will be able to see this new page display in your Drupal’s My Workbench page. More information found at

11 Publishing New or Existing Pages
Consider the following questions: 1 Is there an important publishing deadline? >Planning ahead by ing details to Web Publisher, 2 Updating the Faculty and Staff Directory page? >Follow the Standards and Guidelines document. >Use the Contact Info form on EMS-WEBDOCS website. 3 Proofread your changes? >Copy your text into a Word document as another way to help with spelling and grammar checking. >Copy your text into an online tool to help check 4 Include revision log information? >Summary of changes >Follow example on EMS-WEBDOCS website.

12 Revision process should be used when creating or updating pages:
A summary of content changes made using the Revision information menu tab while in editing mode. A summary of changes should be logged into the Revision log message text box before saving the drafted page. The summary of changes should include the following: Publish by Date: ??/??/???? Change: modified Rich Text Fields Change: New picture After saving the drafted page and when the page is ready to be published, change the moderation state from Draft to Needs Review. The Web Publisher will then publish the page after being reviewed or contact you with questions or changes to be considered. More information found at EMS-WEBDOCS
