3 The declaration assistance is used to declare a hazmat item and supports declaration after the regulations ADR (land transport), the RID (train transport) and the IMDG (sea transport). During the declaration process you will be asked some questions before finishing the process. Those answers leads to a unique declaration and can be used for a multimodal transport of dangerous goods. The declaration module also supports different languages and have several dictionaries that can be used to define an item or a proper shipping name. At the end of a declaration process it is possible to download the information in form of a XML defined message. The information retrieved can be used to report to a NCA, to customs, or to include in the production of a data-diagram. For a demonstration you can visit following web page:

4 The deck is drawn in the middle part of the screen
The deck is drawn in the middle part of the screen. The bottom part of the screen contains a list of cargo booked by the installations. The top part of the screen contains an a temporary storage area used when moving cargo on deck. The user can drag items with the mouse between the list, the deck and the temporary storage area. The top part of the screen displays the date of the sailing. Cargo items are displayed on deck as rectangles with a size proportional to the deck area. A unique number is used to separate cargo items. Cargo containing dangerous goods has a small red square in the bottom right corner (cargo number 1). A breach of the regulations will cause all involved cargo items to be displayed in red. The above figure indicates a conflict between two cargo items containing dangerous goods (cargo number 1 and 4). The user must select one of the cargo items with the right mouse button to obtain information about the conflict. This information is displayed in a separate window as shown in the figure.
