18.1 Comparing two people/things When we compare two people or things, we use: • as ... as We use as … as to compare two people or things that are equal. John is as tall as his father. Paul works as hard as his sister, Sandy. P.176

18.2 Comparing three or more people/things When we compare three or more people or things, we use: • the + superlative adjective/adverb + in/of This is the oldest temple in the territory. Yesterday was the hottest day of the year. Of all the books I’ve read, this is the best. • the + superlative + relative clause It is the best film that I’ve ever seen. P.177
