WP5 Uptake and Outreach Lead: Marine Biological Association (MBA)
+ IODE, SAHFOS, ICES, Cefas, ILVO, OGS, VLIZ

WP5 Activities D5.1 – Workshop to investigate scope of data products and applicability to end users (M3) D5.2 – Report and peer-reviewed publication on comparison of data formats, standards and guidelines in the transatlantic area (M15) D5.3 – Workshop to present EMODnet biology products to end-user (M24)

WP5 Activities D5.1 – Workshop to investigate scope of data products and applicability to end users (M3) A workshop of global relevance involving representatives from: Regional Sea co-ordination bodies ICES Transatlantic collaborative projects (OTN, ODIP, IODE, GEO-BON) Relevant EU Research Infrastructures (EMBRC, ENVRI+, SeaDataNet, EuroMarine, LifeWatch) other EMODnet thematic lots.

WP5 Activities D5.1 – Workshop to investigate scope of data products and applicability to end users (M3) The workshop will; showcase development to date, capture future requirements, identify existing gaps in knowledge and capacity, and target development.

WP5 Activities D5.2 – Report and peer-reviewed publication on comparison of data formats, standards and guidelines in the transatlantic area (M15) Support development and implementation of EBV & EOV’s – liaison with GOOS Bio-Eco and GEO-BON (GLOBIS-B) Integration with systems used within European Environmental RI’s (especially EMBRC, LifeWatch and ENVRI+) The resulting information will feed a peer-reviewed publication on opportunities and gaps in data exchange with use-cases for the North Atlantic and be complimented by a grey-literature report on the outcomes of the review.

WP5 Activities D5.3 – Workshop to present EMODnet biology products to end-user (M24) The meeting will inform the further development of data products, highlight areas where closer collaboration and improved data interoperability are required across all EU Regional Seas and provide a framework for the future direction of EMODnet Biology. We will : a) communicate the outcomes of the 2 year aims and goals, including demonstrations of new products, b) present the strategy for wider adoption and use of the products and tools developed within EMODnet Biology; and c) Present and discuss the longer term aims and goals of EMODnet Biology, with particular attention paid to the recommendations and guidelines for biodiversity data management that will be formulated by D 3.4 (M14).
