Presidential form government
The presidential form of government is that in which the president is elected for certain years and cannot be removed earlier except through impeachment. In presidential form of government, the executive is not responsible to the legislature.

Merits of Presidential system
The great merit of a presidential system is its stability. The president can take quick and prompt decisions and act firmly without any loss of time, which may not be possible in parliamentary system. The Unified control in administration in a presidential system makes for efficiency.

Demerits of Presidential system
Lack of control and balance. Executive is not responsible to parliament. All power is rested on single elected person. There is no body to control to president. The president can continue in office even if he in not competent to meet the situation successfully. Apart from death and impeachment nothing can remove the president of USA.
