Welcome to ESL  Getting to know each other and the classroom rules and procedures.

2 Share out 5 minutes to go around and share what you wrote about yourself in the DO NOW

3 Who is Ms. Townsend?

4 Tour of the Classroom Please be on time to class every day
When you come in, pick up a sheet from the desk next to the door, if there is one. Then, please be seated and take out the materials you need. Everything else can go under your desk. You should then begin the DO NOW which will be on the board.

5 Practice Let’s practice this.
What are some materials you will need for this class?

6 Magnets Ms. Townsend LOVES to collect magnets from places she travels and she LOVES when students bring in magnets from places they have traveled. If you travel anywhere, feel free to bring back a magnet for our class, although you don’t have to.

7 Supplies Supplies for class are located in the gray cabinet. Each drawer is labeled. Please take materials only when told to do so by Ms. Townsend. Books are on the bookcases in the back. If you would like to borrow one, just ask Ms. Townsend! 

8 If you were absent… Go to the folders, where it says “While You Were Out.” For whichever day you were out, take the papers with YOUR NAME on it. Check in with Ms. Townsend to make up any work that you missed.

11 Exit Ticket Demonstrate the following situations.
For some, Ms. Townsend will tell you to write it on the dry erase board, talk to your partner, then show your response. For others, you will have to go to a location in the classroom.
