3. Why Chemistry?
Chemistry is a perfect class for students who have successfully completed Biology and Algebra 1.
Chemistry requires students to use their algebra skills to explain the behavior of atoms & molecules.

6. In English, when we put letters together we form words.
Ex. The letters “m” “o” “u” “s” “e” combine to form “mouse”
In Chemistry, chemical elements combine to form compounds:
KCl means Potassium chloride

12. Assignments
Assignments are given to reinforce concepts learned in class. I stamp completed work.
Todos las días tenemos tarea. Pondre un sello el día que se entregue en la papel de stampas.
I will collect all homework on the day we take our test.
Voy a colectar toda la tarea en el día que tome nuestra prueba.
Because I allow students 2-3 weeks to make up work, I will not accept late homework packets after the test date.

13. Homework Policy
Homework is due at the beginning of the class period on the date due to be considered “on time”.
All assignments must be stamped before the day of the test
No late work will be accepted after chapter or unit tests have been given or after a prolonged amount of time.

It is the student’s responsibility to obtain any assignments missed during an absence.
