6 IPP – Knowledge Areas Accessibility and Usability Builds skills in accessibility policy, design, programming, compliance, and evaluation. Electronic Resource Management Encompasses a broad range of skills including: acquisitions and selection, cataloging and metadata creation, contracts and budgeting, copyright and legal issues, management of information systems, database design and management, programming. Management and Leadership Builds skills including: problem-solving, project management, leading organizational change, and performance measurement in a variety of organizational settings.

7 IPP – Knowledge Areas Planning and Evaluation Focuses on instruction into the tools, methods, and approaches related to data collection, planning, evaluation, and assessment. User Services, Reference, and Instruction Prepares students for user-centered positions in a variety of library and information center settings. User services require an understanding of: collection development, instruction, information literacy, user evaluation, and reference. Youth Focuses on building skills in fostering literacy and encouraging reading, collection development, selecting and teaching children on the use of technology and the Internet, and providing reference services.
