2 Distributed learning Students Learn Autonomously , especially through videos Today I will tell you my story. I have a programming discipline at university and in it, my teacher asked me to make a game in JavaScript ... well I don t understand anything of this, so i had to go to youtube to see some tutorials and I did my game from there. However, on the day of the presentation, my teacher told me that I had very advanced code and that it´s impossible that I have made de game ahahah, and then he told me I have downloaded the file through the internet. Teachers are not prepared for self-learning from the different platforms that exists in the web.

3 Distributed learning Students learn autonomously, especially through videos Why this subject? This student, on the left (that actually is me) never appreciated study too much mainly by the traditional method (homework and more homework) he started looking for educational alternatives (as we all do)

7 Standard movement P - Clearly, there is a generation gap between us. <Laughing> But tell me, what are your biggest difficulties in first year uni? T - Most of us have problems with the online tools that we suddenly have to use. Electronic student information systems, lecture recordings in video stores, learning management systems, all of that. We didn't have these at SECONDARY schools. P - And how about the pedagogical aspects? T - Of yes, we have difficulties to adopt to the new teaching style in higher education. We have to be much more independent, we have more freedom to choose from knowledge sources, we can take different learning paths. The assessments are also different from the typical ones at school. P - Indeed, standard education systems were initiated by the industrial revolution, where the primary aim of schooling was to produce the workforce. Kids were sitting in rows, facing the front, the teacher was the only source of information, and subjects often changed in every hour. This is not how we work today. This is not productive. T – qual é a tua solução, o que vais fazer á cerca deste problema peter?
