3 Declarative Sentences
Make a statement I am surprised that Mr. Maffei can walk all the way down the hall. Mr. Winters is an old man. The Yankees are more likeable than the Mets.

4 Exclamatory Sentences
Make excited statements that end with an exclamation point Excited declarative sentences Mrs. DeSantis is the best English teacher ever! Patriots fans make me sick!

5 Interrogative Sentences
Ask a question When you interrogate someone, you ask questions Why is Mr. Crescente so mean? Did you eat the entire bag of chips?

6 ** Where is the subject? **
Imperative Sentences Make commands or requests Go to the store and buy me chips. Never eat my candy! Sit up straight. Can be one word Stop. Go. ** Where is the subject? **

7 Imperative Sentences In imperative sentences, the subject “you” is implied (You) Go to the store and buy me chips. (You) Never eat my candy! (You) Sit up straight. (You) Stop. (You) Go.
