2. WHAT IS THE TRIP ABOUT?
This trip is a great opportunity for children to learn more about British values
British values is a key government focus in schools
We will receive a 2 hour workshop based around making laws

3. Build up to the trip This trip has been carefully risk assessed.
Any negative behavior choices in school in the lead up to the trip will impact on schools decision on participation for the trip. We have to ensure the safety of all children, staff and members of the public.
Every aspect of the trip has been carefully planned

4. Outline of the day Arrive at school – 7:00 am
Coach leaves – 7:15 am (This bus will not wait for anyone running late)
Train from Preston to London Euston – 07:58 am
Arrive in London 10:13

5. When we arrive in London
We will get the tube from London Euston Station to Green Park Station
From here we will walk 1.75 miles visiting:
Trafalgar square
Downing Street
Big Ben/Westminster Abbey

7. Travelling back from london
We will get a tube from Westminster to London Euston Station
Leaving Euston Station 18:30
Arriving at Preston Station 20:38
Coach from Preston Station to Kingsfold 20:55
Please could parents be at school for 21:00 to pick up

8. Contacting parents
Emergency phone numbers will be carried on the trip by staff
Parents will be notified of any delays or changes to travel plans via the texting service
Any emergencies and parents will be contacted directly by Mrs. Mills or Mr. Reid who will be on stand by from 7:00am – 21:30pm

9. What to bring
Warm winter coat (we will be outside for a lot of the day)
Hat gloves and scarf is recommended
A rucksack to hold pack lunch and any other items needed (preferable a double strapped bag)
School uniform
Packed lunch (please take care when deciding what to give your child in their lunch box)
Key things to remember:
We will be doing lots of walking and moving quickly on and off transport so avoid a heavy lunch box
We will be eating on the move and will not have cutlery

10. What not to bring
Please do not send any electrical items (e.g. cameras ipod iphone)
