A scale of 1/8 inch = 1 foot is commonly used to draw landscape design plans At this scale, you can represent a property as large as 60 feet by 80 feet on an 8 ½ x 11 sheet

You don’t have to name each type of plant Stay to scale so that the shape you draw to indicate a large tree is bigger than that for a small shrub

8 Assignment Trace base plan onto tracing paper with pencil
Add or delete to the construction of the house (doors, windows, garage, etc) Create bubbles for public, private, and service areas. Label street(s) and north Decide what will take place in each of the bubbles (sketch or write) Trace a new base plan in ink. Add symbols for each item; ink. Render plan.
