8 What is AIS? Our mission is to work in partnership with our customers to provide technology based business solutions and services. AIS supports the enterprise business processes of FSU with the best information technology available.

Separate account from other FSU accounts (CARS/garnet, TEC, departmental, etc.) Web interface to major student, faculty & staff business applications (registration, transcripts, grades, etc.)

Administering FSU's primary public machines for students, faculty and staff Maintaining and improving the Florida State University computer data network Administering three computer labs on the FSU campus

Technologically upgrading and managing general purpose Classrooms Supporting departments in their web presence, maintains main FSU webpages

13 ACNS Computer Labs Administers three computer labs on the FSU campus: Milton Carothers Hall (MCH) Phone: (850) Normal Hours: 8:00 am to Midnight, Monday - Sunday University Union (UUB) Phone: (850) Normal Hours: Open 24 hours/day, 7 days/week

14 ACNS Computer Labs Strozier Library Basement (LIB) Phone: (850) Hours: same as Strozier Library ACNS labs are open to all FSU students, faculty, and staff with a valid FSU ID A list of resources available from the ACNS Computer Lab Support for use by those at FSU who are sight-impaired.

15 ACNS Systems Support CARS account registration system ( CARS uses a common database for all ACNS authentication domains Users can reset their own passwords ( Accounts on garnet, mailer, PPP dialup

Software Licensing provides substantially reduced pricing on common Productivity Software, Antivirus Software, and Specialty Software (from 18 different companies) Assists in building user groups in an attempt to maximize purchasing power and reduce per-user software costs.
