2. Purpose of CCR College and Career Readiness Academy
The main purpose of CCR is for all students to explore their college and career options after high school. During this time, you will learn about some of the following topics:
High School graduation requirements
A-G requirements
Explore your interests and skills
Learn about college admissions, financial aid, college entrance exams
Goal setting
Develop four year academic plans

3. Get to know your Counselor
Mrs. McGinis
10-12, A-D
Mrs. Willie
10-12, E-Le
Mrs. McGinis is the 10th-12th counselor for students’ whose last name begins with A-D. She believes that if the elevator to success if broken, find the stairs!”
Ms. Willie is the 10th-12th grade counselor for students’ whose last names begins with E-Le. She says that “each day is a gift don’t leave it unopened.”

Mr. Emaguna
10-12, Ro-Z
Mrs. Hermanson is the 10th-12th grade counselor for Li-Ri. She wants students to know that “they are always welcome in the counseling office!”
Mr. Emaguna is the 10th-12th grade counselor for Ro-Z. Mr. Emaguna believes that “Failure to prepare is preparing to fail” so prepare for success this year.

Freshmen
Mr. Bonds is the counselor in charge of all freshmen. Mr. Bonds is “big on action, not words.” So be prepared to show him you’re ready to work this year!

Ms. Sawczuk is the college and career counselor. She can be located in the 100 building next to the library.

If you have any questions, please or come visit the counseling office and make an appointment to see your counselor
Make sure you have access to Aeries so you can check your progress on grades this year

Please conduct an Ice Breaker or other activity with your students. Feel free to use your choice of Ice Breakers. See resources for options or choose one of your favorites.
