November 29, 1898: Clive Staple Lewis born in Belfast, Ireland.
September 1910: Enrolls as boarding student at Campbell College, Belfast, Ireland. However, he leaves in December due to respiratory problems.
December 1916: Receives a scholarship to University College, Oxford.
June 8, 1917: Enlists in British Army.
April 15, 1918: Wounded in Battle of Arras.
December, 1918: Discharged from British Army.
May 11, 1926: Met J.R.R Tolkien and became close friends.
1954: Becomes chair of Medieval and Renaissance Literature at Cambridge.
June 1961: Diagnosed with kidney inflammation.
November 22, 1963: C.S Lewis died.

October 16, 1950: The first Chronicles of Narnia novel “The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe” is published. – However it is BOOK TWO as part of the franchise.

September 15, 1952: Third ‘Chronicles of Narnia’ novel is published.
September 7, 1953: Fourth ‘Chronicles of Narnia’ novel is published.

The “unteachable”. Why? – Only one joint in his thumb.
Meaning: He could not carry out required/set tasks. However, he started to try and make cardboard castles, boats, houses and so on.
When the models didn’t go to plan, he was “driven to write stories”. - This became a big success for C.S Lewis, which made him become a famous writer.
“You can do more with a castle in a story than with the best cardboard castle that ever stood on a nursery table.”

Started to write my own Fantasy franchise(s).
Created my own world and species in my own fantasy screenplay. (Edited and feedback provided by UoP Lecturer John Caro.)
Made me realise that books, stories and imagination don’t have to be all so serious and are run exactly how you want it to.
Why?
A chance to create and elaborate on a world of your own.
Imagination! Meet the people you’ll never meet.
Gripping! Once you start the Narnia franchise, you can’t let go.
