What is a verbal? A verbal looks like a verb. It is not a verb
It does another job in a sentence.

Gerund A verb form that works as a noun (verb+ing)
It can come before the verb as a subject. It can come after the verb as an object. Examples: Swimming is nice. / I love swimming. Subject Object Verb

Infinitive A verb form that works as a noun (to+verb)
It can come before the verb as a subject. It can come after the verb as an object. Examples: To translate means to change the text from one language to another. I love to study.

Present Participle A verb form that works as an adjective (verb+ing)
It can come before a noun (most of the time). Examples: Moving cars are dangerous. To make tea, you need boiling water. Adjective

Past Participle A verb form that works as an adjective (Past form of the verb: ed / irregular form) It can come before a noun. Examples: Broken glass is dangerous. To make salad, you need washed vegetables. Adjective
