3 WF volt Volleyball Club
Our goal is to develop the athletic abilities of the players, promote teamwork, competitive volleyball and a positive experience.

4 GOALS To further develop opportunities to participate in organized volleyball practices and matches. Keep teams small so players get more individual attention (APPROX WITH A MAX OF 12) To help our players learn the structure of volleyball (positions, offense, defense, effort and teamwork)

5 local PLAYER FEES $350 Base fee or $385 w/ball

8 COMMITMENT Wf volt Volleyball is a commitment and we ask that you try your absolute best to keep that commitment the entire season.

9 Local vs. regional Everything our program has been in the past.
Tournaments will be local (about 1.5 hours around the area) Cost: Extra $230 (on top of base fee) Cannot miss any tournaments due to other activities Can only have 3 missed practices for other activities from March 12 – May 12 (16/18S) AND March 19 – May 12 (12s/14s). Tournaments: 3 local and 3 outside of our area At least 1 Two-Day Tourney

10 PRACTICE ATTENDENCE UNEXCUSED ABSENCES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:
ARRIVING LATE TO PRACTICES OR TOURNAMENTS DEPARTING EARLY FROM PRACTICES OR TOURNAMENTS LACK OF TRANSPORTATION CONFLICTS WITH OTHER NON-SCHOOL RELATED ACTIVITIES, INCLUDING OTHER SPORTS TEAMS (APPLIES TO REGIONAL TEAM PARTICIPANTS ONLY)

11 PRACTICE ATTENDENCE Excused absences include the following: Injury
Illness School-related activities (i.e. band concert, school conferences, etc.) Religious activities Family vacation *PARENTS – Please CALL the coach BEFORE practice to let them know your daughter will not be there.

12 TOURNAMENT ATTENDENCE
Unexcused Tournament Absence: (did not show up for tournament and did not call coach.) No playing time in the next tournament Late to a Tournament: (with phone call to coach) - Will receive less playing time for first two matches of the tournament. (without phone call to coach) – minimal playing time Leave Early From a Tournament: (does not help officiate, clean up) Will receive less playing time in the first two matches of the next tournament.

13 Local TOURNAMENTS All teams will attend 6 tournaments
March 10/11 March 17/18 March 24/25– wf volt tournament (all teams play) April 7/8 April 14/15 April 21/22 April 28/29 – Area championships (most play) May 5/6 May 12/13

15 TOURNAMENT TRAVEL Travel to all tournaments will be at the responsibility of the PARENTS. Coaches will not give or be expected to provide any athletes a ride to tournament sites. Travel to tournaments will be roughly 1.5 hours for local teams AND APPROXIMATLEY UP TO 4-5 HOURS FOR REGIONAL TEAMS.

16 COMMUNICATION All information will be sent through our website.
Parents should try to establish communication avenues with the parents of your daughters’ teammates.

17 PLAYING TIME & POSITIONS
Playing time is left to the discretion of the coaches. The coach will put athletes in a position that he or she feels best suits the team and the athlete. Playing time will NOT be equal for all girls.

18 TEAMS Teams will be formed according to ability.
Teams will be put together by an outside source FOR 7TH – 11TH GRADE. Once teams are made, there will be NO changes and NO refunds for not liking the team you are on.

19 It is an expectation that the athlete and parents respect the coaches’ decisions and give 100% effort towards the success of the team.

20 CONFLICTS Playing time and position conflicts should be discussed in this Chain of command: Player – Coach Player – coach – parent Parent – director – director – coach Administration team – player – parent – coach - final decision Parents will NOT be allowed to discuss these issues or any conflicts with coaches. Any skipping steps will result in decreased playing time or possible removal from team without refund.

22 Consequences 1st Offense/Level One offense
Defined when a parent/guardian generally discusses playing time, positioning or coaching strategy with the coach at any time. This conversation is done on a concerned level, but done in a civil manner. It will also be considered an offense when a parent/guardian is verbally degrading the play of the team or another player during a match out loud. The player will be withheld from one match. 2nd Offense/Level Two offense 3rd Offense/Level Three offense

23 Social media guidelines
Be a leader, act like a leader, & post like a leader. Represent this organization in a first class manner and with integrity Refrain from posting comments that constitute a credible threat of physical or emotional injury to another person. Refrain from posting comments or photos that describe unlawful assault, abuse, hazing, harassment, or discrimination. Refrain from any posts that may be derogatory towards any sports teams or clubs Be mindful of what you re-tweet. Although you may not have said it, what you re-tweet reflects how others view you. Using inappropriate or offensive language in comments, tweets, videos and other postings will most definitely lead to a negative image, so don’t do it! Consequences will be determined by the director and assistant director.

24 RESPONSIBILITIES & CODE OF CONDUCT
Represent yourself and our club in a POSITIVE way!! At any time, no athlete, parent or coach shall make any inappropriate remarks about or gestures towards another player, team, coach, official or parent/s.

25 Save the date…. MANDATORY online officiating clinic
Online sessions – will need to be completed by March 1 Information will be released mid-January Team Pictures: February 25 Schedule will be released early Feb. Practices – Twice a week starting February. 12’s/14’s – Sunday & either Mon., Tues., Thurs, Fri 16’s/18’s – Twice during the week after tournaments start. Practices for 14’S AND UP WILL RUN TILL10:00 pm

26 WF volt Tournament All families will be asked to work on the day that your daughter does not play. We plan to have you sign up for a shift using “Dibs” on our website in February. Failure to work your concession shift (or make the switches in advance) will result in your daughter losing playing time for the first match of her next tournament and being charged $60 for buy-out.

All updates will be put on the website. You WILL need to go to the website and register your daughter for the West Fargo Juniors Program.

28 Team Placement Practices
8th Grade & younger placement practices will be October Cheney November Cheney November west fargo high school *Times will be posted on the website by Oct. 27 after we see what numbers we have per grade. 9th-12th Grade placement practices will be November Cheney *Times will be posted on the website.

29 REFUND POLICY If your family moves out of the West Fargo School District. Medical reasons from a doctor stating that your daughter cannot play. There will be NO refunds for not liking the team your daughter is placed on or changing your mind about playing Juniors.

32 COST OPTIONS Pay by Credit Card or checking account when you register online. If player makes a REGIOnal team, additional cost ($230) will be collected at a later date. You can opt out of regional placement when you register. Not all players that want to be placed on a regional team will make a regional team. Registration will close Thursday, Oct 26 at 10:00 p.m.

33 COST OPTIONS Roles to register for:
Returning Player (WF Juniors ball in good condition): $350 New Player or Returning Player with Ball : $385 When you check out you can add to opt out of *Fundraising for $100 *Working Concessions for $60 **Regional payment will be collected later.

34 Club Apparel Apparel purchases for Player Gear & Fan Gear will go live on our website Oct 29 – nov 12. There will be 2 different sites that you can order apparel. Deadline: November 12 There will be no 2nd order this spring.
